My career didn't start at the top. When I entered the nail industry nearly three decades ago, I struggled immensely as a beginner. The beauty education system was churning out techs with surface-level training and zero scientific foundation, leaving me facing constant tech hurdles. I nearly quit. Refusing to give up, my inner "science geek" took over—I threw myself into deep-dive independent research, mastering the raw chemistry, biology, and pathology of human tissue and product formulation.
That dedication to evidence-based science completely transformed my career, leading to my salon being named a Top 10 International Salon of the Year on multiple occasions, alongside winning, being a finalist for, and being nominated for numerous prestigious global awards. Three years ago, I expanded my scientific passion into advanced clinical aesthetics, earning a Level 7 qualification in injectables.
I founded The Nail & Aesthetics Institute to be the educator I desperately needed when I started. My teaching style is raw, no-nonsense, and entirely brand-agnostic.
